Hi Padraic - I believe the E353 in not supported on the UMR. The E173 *should* work fine with the UMR. It's always worth resetting to factory settings. Dovado suggest the following to improve throughput:

Go to SYSTEM->NETWORK SETTINGS.

Unclick the "Let router select safe settings" in case it has been selected.

Select the "3G General" profile from the drop-down Load Preset menu.

Save Settings and apply a Restart of your router.

Any known problems with the UMR on Meteor. I have had it working fine on O2 for ages but trying for days with a Meteor E173 and an unlocked O2 E353 . Both work fine in USB mode but when plugeed to the UMR the speed drops to almost nothing. Any advice appreciated.

Thanks,

Ordered Dovado 4GR 1st Nov, received it 2nd Nov, worked straight out of the box. That's service we have learned not to expect these days. It's a real pleasure to do business with these people.

Very happy with the dovador router and the service provided by Commsoft. Ordered the router at 9 o clock wednesday night and it arrived at the door at 2 o clock friday lunchtime. All set up and running in only 15 mins, so easy. If only other companies provided this level of service. I will be recommending your company to all my friends that have mobile modems.
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Hansi - a few customers are experiencing odd problems with 4.1.1, problems which are often resolved with a reset of the UMR. If you problems persist, please contact us via email for ftrther support.

Until the last Firmware update of my UMR to 4.1.1 was it working fine with the Huawei E220. But there after the transfer rate got worse and sometimes my Netbook and also my Desktop can`t get a connection via WLAN. Tried Firmware 4.0 but no other result. E220 connected via USB, Download speed by Meteor 3 MB\S tested. Try on with another Modem Firmware.
