It’s great. Thought I was doomed to an eternity of occassional dial-up access by having to plug in and out the usb dongle… but thanks to this creation I have always-on, accessible anywhere, connect with multiple computers access. Woohooo.

I’m thinking of adding a wireless repeater to boost the signal around the house (it’s quite large house and I have one or two devices reporting a weak signal). Are there any particular brands that go well with this router or should any standard repeater work fine
Sorry for the delay in responding, Larry #2. We’re looking into stocking a higher gain antenna for situations like yours. Replacing the standard antenna on the Dovado with a 7dBi indoor omni-directional WiFi antenna would be my initial recommendation. If you wish to install a second access point, just ensure that it has “Universal Repeater mode” i.e. it can connect to a “Root Access point” (the Dovado) wirelessly.
Modem worked a treat very easy to install and very effective.
Just to say that the dovado is working very well and I now have a Belkin kit which I got in argos which carries the signal via the elec wiring to the office where I could not receive from the Dovado. All workng brill! I can’t praise the Dovado enough!
It is the most amazing bit of gear, I thought we (me and 2 of my kids with laptops) would be fighting over who could go online but we have all been on at the same time without any noticeable slowdown in speed.

I have had My Dovado for over a year now and it hasn’t missed a beat, I use it with my laptop, Iphone, xbox, I didnt realisie how many gadgets had wifi, my son has a Wii and a PSP both have wifi.
Apart from the original transaction which was good, I haven’t had reason to contact comsoft but I have recomended them to several of my friends.

Just to say well impressed with your service and excellent product, ordered router yesterday just before 3pm and postman knocking on my door early this morning and within minutes had router setup.
It’s great to see a product that has a walk through simple setup that a non-IT proficient person would have no problem setting up within minutes.
I bought a Dovado UMR on Monday morning, and it arrived yesterday morning (Tuesday) by post and I had no problems configuring it with my Sierra 888 modem. It was easy to get set up and it is working brilliantly so far. I’m really happy with it and many thanks for the quick delivery.

Easy Easy Easy, Easy to deal with company, Easy setup, Works well. We now have full wireless internet, storage and printing at home. The company offers support via Email and phone !
Easy to set up and now running at home with two laptops, ipod touch and a wii.
One small problem, on ipod touch You Tube and Google Earth “cannot connect to server” although both run fine on “normal” wifi. Any fixes for this?

Until the last Firmware update of my UMR to 4.1.1 was it working fine with the Huawei E220. But there after the transfer rate got worse and sometimes my Netbook and also my Desktop can`t get a connection via WLAN. Tried Firmware 4.0 but no other result. E220 connected via USB, Download speed by Meteor 3 MB\S tested. Try on with another Modem Firmware.
Hi Hansi – a few customers are experiencing odd problems with 4.1.1, problems which are often resolved with a reset of the UMR. If you problems persist, please contact us via email for ftrther support.
Very happy with the dovador router and the service provided by Commsoft. Ordered the router at 9 o clock wednesday night and it arrived at the door at 2 o clock friday lunchtime. All set up and running in only 15 mins, so easy. If only other companies provided this level of service. I will be recommending your company to all my friends that have mobile modems.
