Dovado UMR
The 4dBi antenna, which comes with the UMR, has an outdoors range of 300m unobstructed. In favourable conditions indoors (e.g. where the material in the walls isn’t very obstructive) it would be reasonable to see a WiFi range of up to 100m.
However, given the variation in materials in Irish houses it’s pretty meaningless to specify an indoor range. We generally recommend that customers try out the router with the standard antenna in their location and if they discover that the WiFi coverage needs a boost, the great thing about the UMR is that you can replace the standard antenna with a higher gain antenna best suited to your specific requirements.
Dovado 3GN
The antenna on the 3GN has a gain of 3dBi and is not detachable, so the wireless range is not quite as far-reaching as the UMR and cannot be extended with a higher gain antenna. Having said that, the WiFi coverage of the 3GN should be sufficient for typical home environments.

Please how much is this Router and whats the coverage area. Can i use it with the available networks in Nigeria.
Hi Adenuga – Commsoft’s sister company http://movingWiFi.com will ship the Dovado routers to Nigeria. Compatibility is determined on the modem rather than the mobile broadband operator. See http://www.dovado.com/modems for a list of which modems are supported.
The UMR is no longer available. The 3GN is currently US$150 and the 4GR is US$195. These prices include shipping to Nigeria by regular Air mail. Alternative shipping arrangements can be made (FedEx, DHL, UPS) but these will naturally be more expensive.
Indoor coverage is very dependent on building materials, but with the 3dBi antennas, you’d be looking at 50-70m coverage if walls aren’t too obstructive.
