ComReg provides a siteviewer website for locating GSM and 3G masts in Ireland. You can either search by placename or use the clickable map interface to discover where the mobile operators’ masts are located in your area. You can click on each mast location (displayed as a blue square) to find out specific details about the mast, such as operator, OS coordinates and type of transmission (GSM or 3G).
This is a very useful resource when shopping around for a mobile broadband service – if you’ll be using your mobile broadband dongle in one particular location, you’ll want to check out which operator has the closest 3G mast as distance from mast is probably the most important factor determining the speed of your connection. Connection speeds also fluctuate depending on the number of users using the mast at any one time.

Thank you, when I asked the networks for their local mast location they refused to tell me so I couldn’t point my booster towards them!

Just what I have been looking for – helps narrow my search for possible providers and also where to point my antenna – looks like I will need a directional antenna as currently trialling O2 which appears ot be closest, but fluctuating around -100dB.
