Huawei E1752 now supported on the Dovado UMR

Huawei E1752 from O2 IrelandToday Dovado released v4.0.1 firmware for their USB Mobile Broadband Router (UMR). This is great news for O2 customers in Ireland as included in this firmware is support for the Huawei E1752 USB modem, which O2 Ireland are currently offering as their “best value modem”.

Also included in this firmware release is support for several other new modems, mostly operating in the CDMA2000 EVDO networks in India (Reliance and TATA networks) and the following minor new features and bug fixes:

  • TEST EMAIL button (for testing outgoing SMTP mail server).
  • GPS position now includes additional digits (seconds) for improved positioning accuracy.
  • Active FTP method has been implemented.
  • Port Forwarding beyond port 65000 now visible in GUI.
  • Disconnect/Connect user interface button working on all UMTS modems within MODEM->MODEM STATUS page.
  • ZTE modems compatibility improved.
  • Home Automation scheduler
  • Support for blank spaces between words within APN field.

As always we recommend our customers download and update their UMR firmware to take advantage of these features and bugfixes. It is available from the Dovado website.
