Dovado 3G router now supports Sierra 888 modem

Dovado released firmware v3.0.3 for the UMR today.

After at least 4 weeks of rigorous testing Dovado have released new firmware for their USB Mobile Broadband Router (UMR). A number of Irish Dovado users contributed to beta-testing the firmware because, among other things, it addresses a couple of Ireland-specific issues, namely:

• support for the Sierra Compass 888 USB modem as used by many O2 customers in Ireland
• a bugfix for a Network Time Protocol (NTP) issue affecting O2 and Vodafone users in Ireland. (NTP is used to monitor monthly traffic statistics in the Dovado UMR.)
